The World Now:

Whispers spread across Wonderland: A new species has begun wreaking havoc in the Foret des Champignons. No one knows where these so-called “Lost” have come from, though many claim they bear an uncanny resemblance to familiar creatures. The Queen of Hearts insists the Coeurs have the maer under control, but the rumors persist as strange happenings have plagued the realm since talk of a parallel world began. 

On the other side of the Looking Glass, unrest brews just the same. Citizens have begun to remember fragments of lives they had long forgoen—memories that suggest not everyone in the Tricastles is truly from Lucenia. Yet these returning echoes bring no answers, only deeper uncertainty

With both worlds teetering on the edge and the shadow of the Jabberwock drawing near, Underland’s guardians must step in and pray that these otherworlders can wield the Vorpal Sword before the worlds unravel beyond repair.

Conflict

Diana is no stranger to her Umbra self, but Ciel struggles to confront a version of himself that seems to know his every hidden thought and intention.

Though the Champions are ultimately forced to retreat, they strike a truce with the Duchess who explains the reflections of Underland and the whereabouts of the Golden Queen. Ciel uses the truce with the Duchess to target the Queen of Hearts, who appears to be holding Alice hostage. Meanwhile Diana is suddenly teleported back to Lucenia while consulting the Cheshire Cat in hopes of finding the truth of what is happening in Underland. With the help of the Duchess and her friends, Ciel defeats the Queen of Hearts—only to discover that the Alice they had been searching for is no more. In her place remains only the Lost Queen.
